ZINN was commissioned to imagine a new headquarters for a Jacksonville tech company but had to work with a parcel that was slashed with easements, setbacks, wetlands, and building restriction lines. The only apparent option was to site a rectangular building at the rear of the lot amid a sea of parking pavement.

By proposing a triangular shape, however, ZINN was able to bring the building to a prominent position at the street entry. The resulting parking areas encircle the building, decreasing their visual impact while increasing their proximity to the entry. The central portion of the resulting triangle was then carved away to create a glass-encircled atrium that provides both a focal center point for company operations and a welcoming space for entertaining and events.
