cherry street

Jacksonville’s Riverside neighborhood has some wonderful and quirky moments, remnants of a time before the current zoning ordinances, when a post office or restaurant might be the only commercial operation for blocks. This converted home used to be the neighborhood floral shop. With high ceilings and an indoor/outdoor Mediterranean vibe, the shell had great character but the kitchen, pantry, and dining area needed some love and style. After gutting the core of the house, ZINN designed a modified layout that was gilded in luxuriant finishes and products such as Neolith Calcutta Silk countertops, Brizo faucets, and beautiful Cipollino Marble floors. The new space glows with fresh color, and texture. Now, the owner—, a stylish single executive—, commutes between Amelia island and Riverside each week, returning to the peace of this in-town sanctuary for some much-deserved R&R.
