People evolve slowly and imperceptibly but homes sometimes need help to change and adapt. This otherwise lovely family home had a neglected and disused garage in the backyard, taking up valuable real estate on their property. ZINN helped the family leverage the space for something wonderful—a poolside apartment. Since the backyard is the center of activity and physical enjoyment for the residents, the renovated garage-turned-apartment became the hub of this family's outdoors sanctuary. Cited in a historic neighborhood, it's contextually sensitive on the outside and clean/cozy modern on the inside.
