kassia zinn

Kassia is the cofounder and President of ZINN, and not just on paper. She is the solid center of our office—the one everyone asks for advice on everything from design theory and the psychology of color to tips on how to craft the perfect business email. With her dedicated persistence, she is unruffled by the sometimes messy business of turning lines on paper into three-dimensional structures,

The consummate diplomat, Kassia excels at guiding clients through the complex and sometimes emotional process of designing their home or office. She chooses to build bridges, and easily collaborates with contractors and other project teammates. Kassia earned an undergraduate degree in Architecture with a minor in Women’s Studies and Psychology from the University of Florida. She then completed her graduate studies at Parsons School of Design in New York, where she was awarded the prestigious Michael Kalil Fellowship Grant for her research on disaster site utilization and the role of destruction itself in the creation of space.

rob zinn

Rob is the cofounder and Vice President of ZINN. He is a creative and curious multipotentialite, so nerding out over everything from flashing details to how cities could work better comes naturally to him. Rob’s operating principle is that architects should combine their technical and design expertise with empathy and teamwork in order to effectively collaborate with clients and craftspeople on projects.

A born experimenter (growing up, he tried everything from model rocket launches to restoring antique vehicles by hand), Rob enjoys trying new things and bringing technical chops to bear on the far-fetched. He never lets limiting thoughts like “well, we've never done it like that before” get in the way of pushing the envelope a little. Rob earned his master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Florida, where he met Kassia. He earned his BA from Boston University for, you guessed it, pre-med with a double major in English Literature and Art History.

lindsay long

Lindsay is our Interior Designer with an appreciation of the past and future. A North Carolina native, local historic architecture stoked an early interest in preservation; most of all, Lindsay wanted to explore the inside of homes to see what mystery of the past lives she could uncover.  She believes the interior of a home is the ultimate form of storytelling. A Meredith College alumna, she’s worked in multiple industries, from commercial furniture to high-end residential. While the landscape of Florida is much different from her hometown, she loves Old Florida architecture mixed with the Mid-Century influences. She favors a moody beach right before a storm rolls in over crystal clear skies and loves to walk her cavalier spaniel, Chandler. She loves to create a mood with ambient lighting at home (never turn on “the big light”). And she is constantly creating; she loves to cook, paint, dance, and arrange flowers. The perfect way to end the week is watching an old film with a roast chicken in the oven and a cocktail in hand, and to quote her favorite Ina Garten, “How fabulous is that?”

veronika chernov

Veronika holds a Masters of Architecture degree from Florida International University where she specialized in sustainability. She joined ZINN after working on high-end residential projects in South Florida. Skilled in sketching and visualization, Veronika combines her creativity with a practical understanding of construction. Outside of work, she enjoys embroidery, knitting, baking, and playing badminton. With her personable nature and excellent communication skills, Veronika is a delightful presence to have around.
